One of my favourite phenomena in music is "drift." I understand that's a rather ambiguous term, and in a way that's kind of the point. For me, finding music that you can fall into and let yourself drift away is a thing of beauty, but of course you could experience this music as like a blanket to wrap you up, a feeling of swimming, of floating, of flying... the list really can, and does, go on.

So here's my attempt at recreating that feeling. These eight tracks were carved together on a single DAW document (producers' note: this is a terrible idea, and I'm never doing it again) to capture a distinct sonic experience and aesthetic for Passionfruit. The fusion of natural and electronic soundscape and the slow development of the pieces comes together to take you to another place, another space, one which allows you to untether yourself from whatever physical, mental, and spiritual space you currently occupy and let your mind take you to an unexplored sonic landscape.

That's the goal, at least.
